The Label
Visage is a Los Angeles record label started by artist and DJ Kenneth Graham in the summer of 2000, built to hold his deep house tracks and the collaborations around them. The catalogue is a set of timeless captures — sessions with Rithma, Scott Snowden, Walter Chao and a close circle of others — cut to last rather than to chase a moment.
The label also carries Estelle Montenegro — Graham's long-running alias, whose early sides Lakeside and Waterfalls appeared on the German label Elektrolux at the turn of the 2000s. Superlative, the first Estelle Montenegro record in years, brings that thread home to Visage.
The records were originally distributed out of New York by Under Cover Music, and the studios are based in Los Angeles. The classic Visage label mark — instantly recognized by those in the know — was designed by Scott Snowden. Thanks, buddy.
Day to day, the business is run by label manager Tim Humphreys from Pennsylvania — a collector, engineer and DJ who also runs his own reissue label, re:discovery, bringing timeless outliers back to the surface.
