VISAGE Recordings

The people

Behind Visage.

A two-person operation — one making the music, one minding the business — held together by the same taste for records that outlast their moment.

Kenneth Graham

Kenneth Graham

Founder · Artist/Producer

Kenneth Graham is a West Coast veteran — a deep house and techno producer and DJ who has been making records since the early 1990s. Based in Los Angeles, he founded the labels Controlteam, Visage and Language Trax, and has released across a long line of respected imprints, among them Ovum, Peacefrog, Plastic City, Spectral (Ghostly), Seven Villas and Elektrolux.

His music runs deep and melodic — patient, groove-first house with a jazz undertow, built to keep working long after the trend that surrounded it has moved on. Under the alias Estelle Montenegro he leaned into downtempo and deep house for Germany's Elektrolux (Lakeside, Waterfalls) — a thread he's picking back up on Visage with Superlative.

He started Visage in the summer of 2000, and it's where he intends to release his music going forward.

Tim Humphreys

Label Manager

Tim Humphreys runs the business side of Visage from Pennsylvania. A lifelong collector, recording engineer, DJ, writer and reviewer, he has spent years championing the under-appreciated and the overlooked.

He owns and runs re:discovery, a reissue label devoted to bringing timeless outliers — much of it forgotten '90s chill-out and deep electronic music — back to the surface.

He also hosts Electric Cafe, a podcast on YouTube where the digging continues out loud.
